I'm really, really good at making descriptive journal titles.
So, I'm still working on requests... I've started sketching one for Marce-Salami
, and still have yet to start LOOMcomics
' -- but no worries! I'm working on them as I can!
(What requests? They're the contest winners
In any and all cases, I've been in a near-constant state of being ill this winter. It'd be better if it was just the flu or something, but it's mostly stress from work, which is hitting me pretty hard. Ugh. Ah well, it'll pass, like all other things.
Word of advice, though: If anyone goes to work in tech support, try to avoid a call center, unless you can cope with a high-stress environment.
On another note, I've been submitting things to pumpkin-spice-desu
-- an alternate account I have, just for making some weird things.
Right now, I'm on a stamp kick. SO, there's some nice status stamps there!Anyway, for the important thing I wanted to share:
I finally got MyPaint working with my Intuos Pro. I thought it was a lost cause, and that GTK wasn't reading what kind of tablet I had for some unknown reason... Turned out to be an issue with a setting that Wacom has enabled by default.
I found this out thanks to the wonderful Frenden (who makes some awesome materials for Manga Studio) via Twitter and Tumblr:
"You have to set Wacom’s drivers to report their full 2048 levels of pressure. On Windows machines, they default to 1024 levels of pressure reportage for legacy compatibility."
If you have a newer tablet, you need to check out his post.
So that means that my favorite program for sketching and doodling in is now back in full commission - and that makes me very
happy.Well, that and Nyquil, but that's only because I need to not cough up a lung whilst I sleep.
